Executive Order No. 001-2025

Establishment of Student Mental Health Support Program

WHEREAS, the mental health and well-being of students is fundamental to their academic success and personal development;

WHEREAS, recent surveys indicate an increasing need for mental health support services among CAC students;

WHEREAS, the Student Government is committed to promoting holistic student development and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Maria Santos, President of the CAC Student Government, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Student Government Constitution, do hereby order:

Section 1. Program Establishment

A comprehensive Student Mental Health Support Program is hereby established to provide accessible mental health services to all CAC students.

Section 2. Program Components

The program shall include:

1. Professional Counseling Services - Licensed counselors available for individual and group sessions
2. Peer Support Groups - Student-led support groups for various mental health concerns
3. Wellness Workshops - Regular workshops on stress management, mindfulness, and emotional well-being
4. Crisis Intervention - 24/7 crisis hotline and emergency support services
5. Mental Health Awareness Campaigns - Educational initiatives to reduce stigma and promote mental health literacy

Section 3. Implementation

The Vice President shall oversee the implementation of this program in coordination with the College Administration and qualified mental health professionals.

Section 4. Funding

Initial funding for this program shall be allocated from the Student Government Emergency Fund, with ongoing funding to be included in the next fiscal year budget.

Section 5. Effectivity

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon signing.
